You Are Welcome!

We, the people who make up Trinity Lutheran Church, would like to tell you about our congregation.  We're your neighbors around Wanamingo and the surrounding farms and if you don't have a church home, we want to invite you to take part in the life of our congregation.  The life we share together is founded on the person of Jesus Christ who we believe to be God's Son and the One who brings each of us true joy and hope in life.

Growing in Love

One of the ways we grow in our relationship with God is through worship, the event that brings us together week after week.  A Lutheran congregation, we make use of a variety of forms of worship and music, from the beloved hymns that have been with us for generations to beautiful newer songs of worship and praise.  People from the congregation take part in the worship as Scripture readers, senior and youth choir members, ushers and acolytes.

Living in Obedience

Trusting Jesus is a 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week privilege and we at Trinity know it is important to nurture that walk of faith.  Through Bible study, Sunday School, the summer youth program, "Lent for Kids" and small group studies we seek to provide opportunities to grow in God's love and be strengthened to live in obedience to Jesus.

Small groups on a variety of topics offer opportunities for mutual support and growth in God's Word.

Junior High Youth gather on Wednesday evenings during the school year in preparation for making public affirmation of their faith.  Fellowship activities are offered for youth in grades K-6 as well as 7-12.

Women are invited  to take part in monthly Bible study circles as well as a monthly meeting to which all women are invited.

A weekly prayer fellowship takes place on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m.  Men are welcome to study upcoming Gospel texts at Trinity on Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

Sunday School for all ages takes place on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. from September through May.

Serving in Jesus' Name

The needs of our world are great.  All of us have many needs, hurts and hopes.  It is our desire to bring the compassion of Jesus Christ into the midst of everyday pain and uncertainty.  Our young people are taught and led in the ways of service to others.  Groups of adults and youth have assisted with Habitat for Humanity house-building projects and taken part in short-term mission trips to Mexico.  Women spend hours making quilts that find new homes all around the world.

But most of the service of God's people takes place in small, everyday ways that often go unnoticed.  The love of Jesus moves us to help out where we can with caring acts of kindness.

How Can We Be of Help?

We are thankful for what God has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Living in response to God's love, we want to serve God by serving others.  If there is some way we can be of help to you, please let us know.  If you have any questions about our life together at Trinity, we welcome them.
